Beautiful looking pub, attentive staff, generous portions and proper homemade type of food. Starters ordered were garlic mushrooms and belly pork, delicious and generous portions. For mains, hunter's chicken, probably largest hunter's chicken I've ever had, with really nice homemade slaw rather than out of tub that you'd get any many pub chains, would also recommend the onion rings as they are made on site rather than out of bag. Also very nice balcony/beer garden at the back to have a drink in the sun. I would recommend and will be visiting again soon hopefully

Called in by chance after seeing they were dog friendly after a walk around near by Thrybergh park. Great food with value for money on 2 or 3 course options. Our dog Eric had a lovely little blanket put out with his own bowl of water & a few treats. We will definitely be coming back.

We went to Earl of Stratford for my neices hen party. Couldn't fault the set up of the tables we had and how they let us in to decorate. Staff were really lovely and polite and Couldn't do enough for us. The only problem most of us had was the food, we had to phone in our order with us being a big group. The starters and extras were lovely but 11 of us had the chicken and it was dry and most if it was left also the chips were really hard and dry. To us it seemed they had cooked our meals and kept them warm, they were not cooked fresh. I don't like to put negative reviews but this really does need to addressed. We spent alot of money on the food and felt disappointed To finish on a positive the pub itself is lovely and clean and all the staff were great.

Our initial visit to this place was this Sunday, and it definitely won’t be our last. The Sunday lunch was outstanding. The staff were remarkably friendly, and the place had a charming atmosphere.

Incredible wine tasting evening, with an offering of ‘afternoon’ tea and bubbly beforehand. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and sat in the side bar whilst everyone arrived. The event was well organised and had a beautiful welcome board, with the table set up with a generous portion of cheese and meats, bread, and crackers. The host from the pub, and the wine expert, were fantastic. We had 4 wines to taste and they were all very healthy portions, probably a small glass of wine meaning we got a good 500ml each of excellent quality wine which was available to buy if we wanted. Assuming the wine as different, I’d 100% come again even on a monthly basis! The host bought a large group which really added to the fun dynamic as they were engaging and fun - they even had a hilarious challenge to try and beat the world record for eating 3 Jacobs crackers in 60 seconds, and got us all involved couldn’t stop laughing!! It’s harder than it sounds! I hope future events have an equally lively group as the atmosphere was amazing, and not pretentious at all. Although people clearly made an effort to look nice, particularly the ladies, it was a casual affair and thoroughly enjoyable. I’d highly recommend the pub and their warm hospitality. Thank you for an amazing night!

Lovely pub, nice and clean. Very welcoming. Outside area to sit front and back. Dog friendly. Staff were very friendly and service was excellent. Unfortunately I cannot give 5 stars for the food. I had trio roast. The vegetables were over cooked. I had trio dessert. chocolate brownie, cheesecake and Eton mess. The eton was was basically a big blob of cream with a few tiny pieces of meringue, no strawberries. The cheesecake didn’t taste anything like cheesecake, more like a mango tart. The food let this pub down

Went for a group lunch here recently and had a good meal. We both had the Chicken & Bacon Pie, mine with the Chunky Chips as shown. Everyone from the group had different meals off the menu and all commented on how nice and tasty theirs were. Would consider returning again if passing the local neighbourhood again. Atmosphere and the place was good, clean and friendly staff. This was during the week so not sure what it would be like on the weekends.
